Profiles should not be affected since it uses default template.

I dont know where is the problem. Vista is not you default theme so I cant see where is the problem, which means I cant help you.

Disable all of your plugins and see if it helps.

when i tried it on mybb 1.4.4 it worked it dosent work on 1.4.8 :/ that was the problem
