Canon i6500 - problems

I have had some problems with my Canon i6500 printer.
It was trowing this service error 5100.

I used Canon printer reset manual and everything worked fine after that.

1: Power off printer
2: Hold Resume button then press and hold POWER, the beeper will sound once.
3: Hold POWER and release RESUME
4: Press RESUME twice
5: When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange.
6: Press Power to set data

Buddy, how good is this printer?

Reason I'm asking is because my wife and I are considering buying one, we do have a all-in-one lexmark one but it spits paper out when it chooses and is the worst I've seen when it comes to ink usage.

At pc-world, I noticed they quoted that canon was one of the best for ink usage. (no way HP)

I tried all of them. HP, Canon, Epson, Lexmark (btw the worst printer I have ever seen).

If you want professional quality prints HP is the best. Their price is very "good" also.

Canon is very good, not like HP but it's close. And they are cheaper than HP.

Epson, hmm it depends, they have all sorts of printers. Some are very good, and some are pure shit.

I am using Canon's because they are relatively cheap, cheap and good Ink cartridges, and good print quality.

Hp -> Mercedes
Canon -> Toyota

I'm not a fan of HP, my work place has one of those with the camera function and unless it's just that model it tends to smuge while printing. (Others I know dislike it)

Not a car person either, one of those sad gets who'd rather ride a bike or catch the bus/tram service. LOL

I agree Lexmark Printers are worst Printers I have ever seen and have ever used.. I have this kind of printer and I wont to bother to use it..

the head cleaning fails to resolves the problem, we suggest checking with Canon if you are unsure...
