WordPress 2.5 is finally released!

The improvements in 2.5 are numerous, and almost entirely a result of your feedback: multi-file uploading, one-click plugin upgrades, built-in galleries, customizable dashboard, salted passwords and cookie encryption, media library, a WYSIWYG that doesn’t mess with your code, concurrent post editing protection, full-screen writing, and search that covers posts and pages.

I like the new look of the acp.

It's a small change (looking wise) but very slick, not sure I've noticed many new features but I'm glad that I've upgraded. =)

But, updating is very easy. Most themes should work, but you'll have some trouble with plugins if you have them.

I've found most plugins work for me.

Most should according wordpress, although I don't know except most which I used on my personal blog works. (themes too)

No. But I am maintaining one website powered by wordpress.
I think wordpress (can be) is very good CMS.

I use wordpress to power my Development blog for my software to keep users up-to-date about what's happening to Grestul and what has been changed. Exactly what MyBB does. I don't have any plugins and the theme was designed by me. I won't be using Wordpress for long, I have my own CMS I started developing from scratch that will be empowering the blog. I'm also developing a forum script which I started from scratch as-well, but I won't be using it and more so storing it until I need a fresh new forum.

Are those scripts going to be free or paid?

It's better than the older version
