MyBB 1.4 Gold

So MyBB 1.4 gold was released, what do you think about stability, user experience,...?

I can only say, I am not that impressed. I mean from admin point of view it is a big improvement, but for the average Joe it is the same old experience.

It should be MyBB 1.4 RC1, it is not stable enough.

Theme editing is the main problem. I can't customize it and that sucks. http://community.mybboard.net/thread-34598.html

and what about those small/silent updates in download packages, every time I download MyBB 1.4 gold something is changed. (difference in size of the zip packages)

Tikitiki is my favorite MyBB mascot. Fixing 1 bug results with 2 new bug.

Yeah I cant wait till myBB1.4.1

I personally don't find anything wrong with the template and theming system.

I've just upgraded.

Thankfully before they released the one which duplicated every setting.. I'm loving it more and more!

Yes, you were lucky.

Unfortunately the upgrade procedure messed up mybb 1.4 on my localhost. Nothing serious but annoying.

Lets hope 1.4.1 resolves most of the issues.

Yeah I feel myBB rushes releases.

I im not sure if myBB has this or not but there should be a perminate beta tester team that tests any new release before that version comes out.
