I suspect it's because of the effect used in the psd, I was hoping that it would be more red and without the mixing of the colours. (I'm = )

Right I've nearly done it, however pathetic that is this has been quite fun. I just can't find the last few areas!

ermmmm I messed up header and logo psd files

redownload the whole theme
new files are:
logo.png
body/header.png
ivgeo_logo.psd

If you remember, original psd of this theme got corrupted so I recreated the whole theme, and apparently I made a mistake with few gradients!

So basically you want every column to expand equally?

I don't think you can do anything about it, except limiting username length.
