I have no idea why my hover links aren't working

I've been using this as a guide, as you previously said but I just dont understand why it's not working.

your header looks like this (partial template code)

I would change it to

basically I removed 3 <br /> and left only one <br class="clear" />

hey iv geo, I started yet another theme, check pspaordy, the theme is psparody (use quick theme). Atm the links have some padding to the left even though I got rid of the code. Plus, I am unsure how to remove the space between the toplinks and the logo and also the logo and the top of the page. Any help is much appreciated
