I was looking at this http://alistapart.com/articles/alternate
It is working for css... the problem is with buttons (...)
Every theme is with the same buttons and logo, and that is ugly. (red theme with blue buttons, logo)
one way avoiding this is using transparent buttons, logo (only icons and text, without background)
maybe we should ask for some help at mybb forum

i think there is a way to change the buttons too, i wrote a mini code where the logo changes with the color too.will have to search and yea we can ask some hand from mybb too and i think this will be the first theme in mybb which such an option

well when i did it i made .css file for each color , $settings['theme_main_color'] take the color cod from the css.

I'll release ANSCD blue (this one) so you can play with blue and orange/red themes.
